DPDP Act FAQs
What is a Consent Manager?
A Consent Manager is an entity registered with the Data Protection Board that acts as a single accessible point through which a Data Principal can give, manage, review and withdraw consent across multiple Data Fiduciaries. The idea is to relieve individuals from managing dozens of separate consent settings across dozens of services. Consent Managers must be registered with the Board and meet prescribed technical and organisational conditions. This part of the framework comes into force on 13 November 2026.
