Headnote

Decreed on a joint application under Order XXIII Rule 3 before summons were issued. The defendant acknowledged Scotch Whisky as a geographical indication registered in India, accepted that descriptions such as "Blended with Scotch" could mislead consumers about Indian produced spirits, and undertook not to use "GLEN", "LONDON" or other terms evocative of Scotland for whisky that is not Scotch, and to amend or withdraw its GLEN CRAFT application. Settled on terms, so it decides nothing.
